About Preservan
A Home Services Franchise
Preservan is a home services franchise that aims to preserve the past. At Preservan, we have used our passion for epoxy resin technology and preservation to serve our local neighbors, cities, and planet for 8 years and counting. Now, Preservan is offering franchise opportunities nationwide. As a home services franchise, we are fully committed to equipping entrepreneurs with tools and expertise across the United States. Our franchise aims to share knowledge in wood rot repairs. This business opportunity is all about preserving current materials rather than replacing building materials altogether. We are one of the best franchises among home services franchises throughout the U.S. with a heavy focus on windows, doors, and architectural wood restoration.
Preservan Founder
Ty McBride is the founder of Preservan Wood Rot Repair. He has a background deeply rooted in the home-building industry, having grown up in it. His journey began in 2001 when he started clearing home-building sites. He gradually took on various roles within the family business over the next 14 years. However, it was a transformative experience in 2014 when Ty undertook the restoration of a historic home in Oklahoma City’s Mesta Park. This project exposed him to the intricacies of window restoration and the application of epoxy.
Over the following two years, Ty dedicated himself to extensive research, testing, and learning from preservation experts nationwide. This newfound knowledge led him to depart from the family building business. In January 2016, he and his wife, April, launched Wood Window Rescue. The venture quickly gained traction, as there was a noticeable demand for the repair of old windows throughout Oklahoma City. Wood Window Rescue’s mission was clear: “We Save the Future by Preserving the Past,” a commitment that has been upheld since its inception.

Preservan History
In 2017, Ty and the Wood Window Rescue team embarked on a significant project. They spent much of the year filming a pilot for HGTV while restoring vintage windows in Oklahoma City’s historic neighborhoods. To enhance operational efficiency, Ty’s brother-in-law, Morgan Reinart, joined as the operations manager. The HGTV episode aired in the fall of 2018, significantly raising awareness, and generating new opportunities for Wood Window Rescue. The company started receiving calls to expand into different markets and offer additional services.
During one of their service calls, the idea for Preservan took root. A homeowner presented Ty with a challenge: to salvage a rotting wood window that was merely 12 years old. The team successfully repaired the window, saving the owner thousands of dollars in the process. This experience laid the foundation for the inception of Preservan. This marked another chapter in Ty McBride’s journey of preserving the architectural heritage and craftsmanship of the past.
Ty and Morgan initiated a reassessment of Wood Window Rescue’s identity. Preservan emerged from Wood Window Rescue in the spring of 2020. Constrained by travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team refocused on localized expertise, specializing in small epoxy repairs within the community. This encompassed repairing wooden doors, addressing wood siding issues, and tending to various building wood repairs. Over the subsequent year, the team prioritized enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and technician training, laying the groundwork for the emergence of Preservan.
Creating Franchise Opportunities
The franchise system officially launched at the Window Preservation Alliance Conference in the fall of 2022. Preservan serves as a convenient, cost-effective, and sustainable alternative to wood replacements. We employ cutting-edge epoxy technology to mend wooden windows, doors, and other wood structures affected by rot. Ty, April, and Morgan are wholeheartedly dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs nationwide to opt for repair over replacement, contributing to the preservation of the past for the sake of the future.
